‘Bihar CM’s Post Not Vacant’: BJP’s Sanjay Jaiswal Slams Tejashwi’s Job Promise as ‘Joke’

BJP’s Sanjay Jaiswal says Bihar CM post ‘not vacant’, mocks Tejashwi Yadav’s job-for-every-family promise as a ‘non-serious joke’ before Bihar polls.

‘Bihar CM’s Post Not Vacant’: BJP’s Sanjay Jaiswal Slams Tejashwi’s Job Promise as ‘Joke’

As Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 enter a decisive phase, senior BJP leader and strategist Sanjay Jaiswal has strongly dismissed opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav’s election promise of providing one government job to every family in Bihar. Calling the proposal a “non-serious joke,” Jaiswal said the Chief Minister’s post is not vacant, reaffirming that Nitish Kumar will continue as the face of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

In an exclusive interview during his campaign in Bettiah, the four-time MP exuded confidence that the NDA would achieve a resounding victory. “People of Bihar trust the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Their faith will ensure a bigger victory than expected,” he said, describing the growing enthusiasm among voters across Champaran, a BJP stronghold for over three decades.

Tejashwi’s Job Promise a ‘Joke’
Jaiswal ridiculed Tejashwi Yadav’s claim of providing jobs to every family, arguing it was mathematically impossible and economically irresponsible. “The Central government has 30 lakh jobs, and the State government has 24 lakh. So, how can one promise jobs for 2.7 crore families in Bihar? It’s absurd,” Jaiswal remarked.

He added that such promises risk undermining existing welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and free foodgrain distribution, which have benefitted millions of poor families. “This kind of rhetoric might grab votes but will destroy real benefits for the poor,” he asserted, labelling Tejashwi’s manifesto as a “personal warranty” rather than a coalition agenda.

Jaiswal also mocked the RJD’s election manifesto, saying, “It’s not a Mahagathbandhan manifesto. It’s Tejashwi’s personal ‘Pran’. Even his allies like Congress and CPI-ML don’t seem convinced by it.”

Rahul Gandhi ‘BJP’s Star Campaigner’
Commenting on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks during his Bihar campaign, Jaiswal sarcastically called him the BJP’s “star campaigner.” “Every time Rahul speaks, our vote share rises,” he said. “He no longer talks about ‘vote chori’ because he himself doesn’t believe in what he says.”

Nitish Kumar Still the NDA Face
On the issue of leadership, Jaiswal was categorical: “The Chief Minister’s post in Bihar is not vacant. From 2025 to 2030, the combination of Modi and Nitish will lead both the nation and the state.” He emphasized that Nitish Kumar remains the NDA’s undisputed CM face, pointing to the absence of anti-incumbency even after 20 years of governance.

The BJP veteran dismissed opposition allegations of political stagnation, saying that Bihar’s transformation under NDA is visible in infrastructure, welfare programs, and improved law and order. “When crimes happen, culprits are caught within 24 hours. That’s the difference between governance and jungle raj,” he said, contrasting the current administration with the RJD’s past rule.

Modinomics and Welfare Politics
Defending the government’s welfare policies, Jaiswal said “Modinomics” is about empowering citizens through direct benefits that stimulate the economy. “When you give people money, it circulates through the market, boosting GST and manufacturing,” he explained. “This is not ‘revdi’ politics; it’s economic empowerment.”

Highlighting achievements like 125 units of free electricity, Rs 2 lakh grants for BPL families, and continuation of free ration schemes, he insisted that every citizen has benefited. “This is not like Delhi’s model. Even if you use 126 units, you don’t lose benefits here,” he noted.

Concluding with a message to voters, Jaiswal urged them to vote for the NDA’s governance model, not individual candidates. “Vote for Modi ji and Nitish ji. They’ve delivered on promises and ensured welfare reaches every household,” he said.

With Bihar heading to the polls on November 6 and 11, and counting scheduled for November 14, Jaiswal’s statements reinforce the BJP’s strategy — projecting stability under Nitish Kumar and dismissing Tejashwi’s populist promises as political theatre.
